Springbok captain Siya Kolisi surprised audiences at the Baxter Theatre when he walked on stage at the end of the opening night of Colleen the Musical to congratulate Marc Lottering and sing Happy Birthday, reports Cape {town} Etc.

News24 states the moment came after the show on 4 December, which is Lottering’s birthday.

Kolisi spoke warmly about his friend before the song according to the Daily Voice.

He told the audience that Lottering had been ‘a blessing’ in his life and praised the comedian’s ability to bring joy and spark important conversations. ‘His shows are funny but also very educational,’ Kolisi said.
