Former Miss South Africa Natasha Vermaak’s urgent home renovations are now causing her panic just weeks before her pregnancy due date.

Natasha, who got married last year, is expecting her first child in a few weeks. She shared videos showing the progress of her urgent home renovations.

In the final stretch of pregnancy, she should be relaxing, avoiding stress and enjoying some well-deserved stress-free time.

However, she took to Instagram to share  that the nightmare of home renovations has pushed her to her limits.

In a series of videos, she expressed that her home has an extensive black mould infestation hidden in its walls. What started as a baby-proofing “house-ready” home for their upcoming newborn has now turned to panic due to the mould infestation.

While teary on her videos, Natasha shared, “It’s been a really challenging two to three weeks not staying in my own house and just like panicking, I’m going to go into labour at any time.”

Her followers had follow-up questions as to why she decided to renovate now, and she revealed, “Everyone was like, ‘Why did you decide to renovate now?’ That’s not reno. That was a full-on black mould infestation that was making me ill, and imagine having to bring a newborn baby into the space. It’s really not healthy at all,” she said.

She further added that the issue might’ve been the reason for her feeling foggy.

“During my pregnancy, I was sick three times, and I had to take antibiotics. I was sick for like a month at the end of my 2nd trimester, but I’m happy that we discovered this problem.”

Natasha and her husband, Enrico Vermaak, are doing everything they can to ensure that all is ready before Natasha gives birth in just a few weeks.

She has since taken to her Instagram stories to update her followers once more about the commendable progress that has been made.

Some parts of the house are almost ready. According to the former Miss SA, tile skirtings and the painting of walls are expected to be done on Tuesday.
