DJ Zinhle Breaks Silence After Seemah Calls Husband Mörda a “Dog”

DJ Zinhle Breaks Silence After Seemah Calls Husband Mörda a “Dog”

South Africa’s beloved DJ and businesswoman Zinhle Jiyane, better known as DJ Zinhle, has finally spoken up and this time, her tone is one of deep hurt rather than her usual calm restraint.

After weeks of swirling rumours about her husband, musician Bongani “Mörda” Mohosana, allegedly cheating with a 22‑year‑old Johannesburg club employee, a podcast comment has pushed Zinhle to her emotional limit.

During a recent episode of the “Spreading Humours” podcast, co‑host Seemah weighed in on the scandal and bluntly said:

“You look at him and you think Zinhle won, kanti yinja (he’s a dog).”

It was that word, “inja” that cut the deepest.

Zinhle responds: “Nothing hit me harder”

In a heartfelt TikTok video, Zinhle opened up to her followers about the pain of hearing someone she knew personally publicly insult her husband.

“I’ve been trying to ignore all the stuff that’s been happening on social media — the disrespect that comes with it,” she said.
“But let me tell you, nothing hit me harder than someone calling my husband inja.”

The DJ revealed that she and Seemah were not strangers. In fact, they had exchanged messages on social media, and Zinhle had even supported Seemah’s small business.

“I know the lady. I talk to her quite often on DM. I’ve bought from her business. So she could’ve reached out to me if she was concerned, but she went straight to TikTok to call my husband a dog,” Zinhle added, visibly emotional.

Social media divides over the drama

Fans quickly flooded Zinhle’s comments section with messages of support, praising her for addressing the issue with grace. Many expressed disappointment in Seemah, arguing that “sisterhood” should mean protecting — not embarrassing — each other in public.

On X (formerly Twitter), however, opinions were more mixed. Some defended Seemah’s blunt honesty, saying she was reacting to gossip already in circulation. Others criticised her for “chasing clout off someone else’s marriage.”

It’s a reminder of how South African celebrity culture often blurs the lines between entertainment and personal pain, with public figures becoming easy targets for social commentary.

Clearing the air: Zinhle’s earlier video misunderstood

Many fans initially thought Zinhle had already responded to the cheating rumours through a video she posted weeks ago, where she spoke about choosing peace over negativity. But the clip, recorded in October, had nothing to do with the allegations.

In that earlier post, she simply said:

“I don’t want to fight. I don’t want conflict. I don’t want to explain myself. I just want an easy life.”

Only now has she directly addressed the comment and the hurt it caused.

Mörda’s subtle response and Zinhle’s apology

Before Zinhle’s emotional TikTok, both she and Mörda appeared to respond playfully to the drama by sharing an AI‑generated video of gossip blogger Musa Khawula singing along to her hit song “Sorry.” The post, though tongue‑in‑cheek, was widely seen as a subtle jab at the ongoing rumours.

Later, Zinhle returned to her usual composed tone, taking a moment to thank her supporters and apologise for being drawn into negativity.

“I want to apologise to you,” she told her followers. “I don’t take your support and love for granted. You’re the only people who deserve my attention.”

A deeper look: fame, love, and public scrutiny

For fans who’ve followed Zinhle’s journey, from her high‑profile breakup with AKA to her rise as a business mogul and family woman, her reaction felt deeply human. South Africans have watched her balance fame, motherhood, and love with remarkable grace.

But in an era where social media has turned private pain into public spectacle, even the most poised celebrities can reach a breaking point.

As the dust settles, one thing remains clear: DJ Zinhle’s voice carries more weight when she chooses vulnerability over silence, reminding fans that beneath the fame, she’s still a woman defending her family in a digital age that never sleeps.
