Get Miss World’s Look

by Keletso Modisakeng

Our very own Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss broke the internet and united the country when she was crowned Miss World 2014. Rolene is one of three Miss South Africa’s who have won this title – the last winner was in 1974. Didn’t you just love how Rolene looked?

Here are some easy steps to get your Miss World look

How to:

  • Apply foundation to your face, neck and ear and blend using a brush or sponge.
  • Using a blush brush, sweep your bronzer or blush onto your cheeks.
  • Choose your metallic eyeshadow colour, remembering that the darker shades will add a bold effect to your eye and lighter shades will give it a subtle look.
  • Gently sweep the brush to the inner corner of your eye.
  • Angle your brush then dust some metallic on the edge of your lashes.
  • Apply a darker shade shadow from your lash line to the outside corner of your eye and start blending the two shades together as you move up. The darker shades help set the metallic and soften it.
  • Curl the lashes using your mascara and fill the eyebrows using a dark brown pencil.
  • Finish your party look by applying clear lipgloss.
