All eyes on you

by Keletso Modisakeng

Transform your everyday eye make-up with these five easy steps for the perfect evening look.

Step 1

step-1

Using a small brush or sponge apply a light colour from your brow bone to the top of the fold of your eye.

Step 2

step-2

Apply your medium colour eyeshadow from your eyelashes to just above the fold of your eye. This will be the main colour of your eye. Blend your medium colour with the light colour. Using a thin brush and getting as close to the eyelashes as possible, apply a thin line under your eye.

Step 3

step-3

Using a thin brush, apply a dark colour eyeshadow very lightly onto the fold of your eye. Apply this colour from the middle of your fold to the outer corner and above your eyelashes. Blend the darker colour with the medium colour giving the outer corner of your eye a darker shade. This can be a darker shade of your medium colour or a natural colour like brown or black.

Step 4

step-4

Use liquid eyeliner or pencil liner to highlight your eye. Apply your eyeliner across the top of your eyelashes and on the inside of your bottom eyelid as this will make your lashes look fuller.

Step 5

final-picStart at the base of your lashes and sweep upwards to apply your mascara. For a more dramatic look, reapply your mascara once the first coat has dried.
