5 beauty looks we loved from the SAMAs

by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Grace Mantjiu takes you through the hair and make-up from your favourite celebs at the 2017 South African Music Awards, held recently.

1. When your beauty formula looks this good, why switch things up? Mirror Pearl Thusi and keep it minimal with nude lips and a top knot.

Diamonds. Pearls & Moonstones… @elegance_jewellers ? ? @nthatomashishi using @_blackpearlhair ?

2. A Nubian princess indeed, Nomzamo Mbatha nailed it by going for a classic look with a dark, intense red lip.

3. Red lips were trending at the event. Queen B paired hers with long, curly hair swept to the side, giving her a perfect 10 out of 10!

4. Dewy skin and pastel pink lips – a killer combination for a simple, yet elegant look. Nomalanga’s make-up looked flawless and beautiful.

Last night was magical! South Africa, we have finally been formally introduced. To my trustee designer, Sli, from @goodfriday80 , you are amazing! I absolutely cannot wait to create more and more with you! You made me look like The Flame! To my good friend and make-up artist @diva_cadach, you are talented! Look at your face! ! To my mommy: Yes, the dress was THAT short, LOL! It’s about to be a hella good time! ‘Tis the season!
