3 DIY face masks to combat dry skin this season

Winter can be very harsh to our skin and requires extra TLC. Getting soft and hydrated skin doesn’t only mean shopping for the best beauty products though, you can use simple ingredients in your kitchen to achieve this.

Here are 3 easy to make face masks that will nourish your skin like you wouldn’t believe.

1. Avocado Oatmeal Hydrating Face Mask

  • 1/2 cup instant oats (not flavored)
  • 1/2 a ripe avocado
  1. Cook your oatmeal
  2. Scoop your avocado out of it’s flesh and then mash it in a bowl
  3. Let the oatmeal cool and then mix it with the avocado
  4. Apply the mask onto your face
  5. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water
  6. Repeat it at least twice a month

 

2. Banana Mask:

  • 1 half ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp. of plain yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp. of honey
  1. Take the banana and mash it up in a bowl.
  2. Mix in the plain yoghurt and  honey it
  3. Apply the mixture onto your face
  4. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water
  5. Repeat it 2-3 times a month.

 

3. Honey and Milk Mask:

  • 6 tbsp. of milk
  • 2 tbsp. of honey
  1. Mix the honey and milk thoroughly in a bowl
  2. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck and massage it in.
  3. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water
  4. Repeat it 2-3 times a month.
