5 Mins With Pabi Moloi

by Keletso Modisakeng

In celebration of International Women’s Month, Trace Sports Stars is having shows dedicated to successful female stars. Power FM presenter Pabi Moloi will be a guest presenter on the show. We had a quick chat with the sassy presenter about her new gig, and how she maintains her sexy looks.

When Trace called me to be a guest presenter… I was thrilled! I covered the launch of the channel when I presented MNet’s All Access; so this was a very cool moment for me.

People always ask if I had a “wake up call” about my health… It wasn’t really a wake up call. I knew I needed to look at my overall health. I saw a doctor and rethought my entire approach to life.

To the girl who wants to start living a healthy lifestyle… Look at the things you can cut out of your diet. You can eat everything but only in small portions. It’s not easy, so don’t quit when you’re tired, carry on until you reach your goals. Be honest with yourself and eat sensibly.

We are always told to cut out carbs (starch) from our food… I love pap, bread and mashed potatoes. I just don’t eat them every day because too much of anything isn’t good for you.

It’s always great to have target areas before you go for your workout… I love using weights for arms, my back and shoulders. Lunges, jump squats and mountain climbing are some of my favourite leg exercises. I work out five days a week and I work my overall fitness.

Nicki Minaj and Kim K have set the waist trainer trend… I can’t say if it works and if it’s healthy or not. My waist training consists of sit ups, burpees and good posture.
