Podcaster Solomzi ‘Sol’ Phenduka has apologised after comments and jokes made while discussing the disappearance of Elizabeth ‘Tsontso’ Moselakgomo sparked backlash online.

The Podcast and Chill with MacG co-host faced criticism after a clip from the podcast circulated on social media, showing the hosts discussing the disappearance of 38-year-old Tsontso alongside the discovery of other women’s bodies in Kempton Park.
The episode was recorded while Tsontso was still missing. Her body was later found and identified by her family on 14 September 2026.
Sol Phenduka’s remarks spark criticism
During the discussion, the hosts made several jokes while talking about Tsontso’s disappearance and the circumstances surrounding it.
One of the comments referenced her running routine, while Sol also made a pun involving the race number she was wearing.
The comments quickly attracted criticism from social media users, with some accusing the podcast hosts of being insensitive when discussing a woman who was missing at the time the episode was recorded.
The backlash was amplified by the fact that Tsontso’s body had subsequently been identified, making the comments particularly difficult for some viewers to accept.

Tsontso reportedly went missing on 9 September 2026 after leaving her Rhodesfield home for her usual run in Kempton Park.
Her disappearance came amid reports of several women’s bodies being discovered in the area, prompting concern among residents and calls for greater attention to the safety of women.
Her family later identified her body after it was found, bringing a tragic end to the search for the missing mother.
