The Betway Premiership title race is tightening and Mamelodi Sundowns know they cannot afford any slip ups.
On Tuesday night, the reigning champions travel to Rustenburg to face Orbit College FC at Olympia Park in a match that carries very different stakes for both sides. Kick-off is scheduled for 19:30 CAT.
For Sundowns, it is about staying ahead in a fierce title battle. For Orbit College, it is about survival.

Sundowns chasing the summit
Masandawana arrive in strong form after edging Golden Arrows 2-1 in their last league outing on 3 March. That result extended their unbeaten run to three matches and marked their sixth straight victory in the Betway Premiership.
Despite the impressive streak, the Tshwane giants are not alone at the top. Sundowns currently share first place with Orlando Pirates, with the Buccaneers holding the edge on goals scored.
Another three points against Orbit could prove crucial as the championship race gathers momentum.
Head coach Miguel Cardoso believes his team has grown stronger as the season has progressed.
“We got stronger and brought in players who made us stronger,” Cardoso said. “We are more committed than ever and the players are training harder than ever. Now our focus is simply on the next match and making sure we win.”

Orbit fighting for survival
While Sundowns chase silverware, Orbit College are battling at the other end of the table.
The North West side currently sits in the relegation playoff position in 15th place, but the gap to safety is narrow. They are only three points behind Golden Arrows, who occupy 12th spot.
Orbit boosted their survival hopes last week with an impressive 2-1 away victory over TS Galaxy, following a draw with Richards Bay.
Head coach Pogiso Makhoye believes momentum is starting to build as the team fights to remain in the top flight.
“That win was important because we are playing the defending champions next,” Makhoye said. “Our goal is to collect points consistently and make sure we stay in this league.”
A victory against Sundowns would lift Orbit out of the danger zone and dramatically strengthen their survival chances.

Team news ahead of the clash
Orbit College have no suspensions heading into the match, although Katlego Cwinyane remains unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery from a long term injury.
Sundowns will be without Jayden Adams, who is suspended for the encounter. The visitors could also be missing several players due to injury concerns, including Mothobi Mvala, Zuko Mdunyelwa, Bathusi Aubaas, Keanu Cupido and Thapelo Morena.
Those absences could test the depth of the champions as the season reaches a crucial stage.
Players who could decide the match
One player Orbit supporters will be watching closely is Lesedi Kapinga. The experienced attacker recently found the net against TS Galaxy and will be eager to make an impact against his former club.
For Sundowns, Iqraam Rayners is the man in form. The striker has scored three goals in his last two league matches and continues to play a key role in the champions’ attack.
If Rayners maintains that scoring touch, Sundowns will fancy their chances of leaving Rustenburg with all three points.
A clash with everything on the line
Although Sundowns defeated Orbit 2-0 earlier this season, football rarely follows the script.
With the champions chasing another league crown and Orbit desperately seeking points to avoid relegation, Tuesday night’s clash promises to be a tense and intriguing encounter.
For Sundowns, it is another step in a demanding title race. For Orbit College, it could be a night that shapes their entire season.
