When it comes to music, South Africa is known and prides itself on the diversity produced by local artists. From mainstream hip-hop and R&B music with a global sound, all the way to the more local genres like gqom, amapiano, and maskandi, Mzansi’s sounds have quickly gone global and made their way to unthinkable parts of the world. This music that resonates with people from various countries is a testament to how, despite any language differences, music has the power to invoke different emotions and feelings.
