The group consists of Thembi Seete, Theo Nhlengethwa and Junior Sokhela. The group was formed in 1993. At the time, they were four including their former lead singer, Lebo Mathosa who passed away in 2006 in a car accident.
The group introduced itself to Mzansi with their first single, It’s About Time – and subsequently released their LP titled Kwere Kwere in 1994. Speaking to The Citizen, Thembi Seete said: “Every time we are honoured or appreciated, I feel surprised. When we started, we never imagined we’d be celebrated like this.”
Taking to her Instagram, the former Gomora actress said: “Last night was unforgettable at the Basha Uhuru Sounds of Freedom Music Festival.
