Just as she basks in the success of her We Wanna Party EP, as well as her most recent VMA, South Africa’s popiano princess has been named among some notable figures set to feature in Cardi B’s highly anticipated Am I the Drama? album.
In her short international career, Tyla and her team appear to have cracked the code on what it takes to not only be a global icon, but a consistent one as well. After ‘Water’ gained international success, and went on to win Tyla her first Grammy, many wondered what her next steps would be, as they suspected her to be a one-hit wonder. However, the youngster has continued to prove her resilience and determination to pursue her dreams and passions, without letting outside pressure get the best of her.
Headlines have become a second home for Tyla’s name as she is constantly on the move, either scooping up awards, or working hard to give her Tygas project after project. Although one of the youngest global stars from Africa, Tyla has established herself as the new standard, as she has reached a number of different accomplishments set by her fellow peers, and has already shattered some of their records as well.
Just recently, she celebrated becoming the most decorated African Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) and also become the first South African musician to surpass 3 billion streams globally on Spotify.
