Zodwa Wabantu’s weight loss has fans concerned

by Silindokuhle Booi

Zodwa Rebecca Libram popularly known as Zodwa Wabantu, a South African exotic dancer known for her controversial persona, has sparked concern among fans and netizens about her health and well-being.

A recent photo posted online by @AmukelaniMoyani showed Zodwa with noticeable weight loss, prompting speculation and worry about her health.

The photo quickly went viral, with many people taking to the comments section to share their thoughts and concerns. Some users expressed worry about the possibility of underlying health issues, while others speculated about the potential causes of her weight loss.

One user even mentioned HIV, citing South Africa’s high infection rate, while another user seemed to suggest that her weight loss was a natural part of ageing. Others took a more lighthearted approach, joking about Zodwa’s past and her dancing career.

The controversy surrounding Zodwa’s weight loss has also drawn comparisons to another public figure, Julius Malema, the president of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), who faced similar concerns about his weight and appearance last year.

As the debate continues to unfold on social media, it’s clear that Zodwa’s fans and followers are invested in her well-being and eager for more information about her health.

One said: “It might be HIV South Africa has the highest infection rate in Africa 90 000 new infections per year.”

One user said, “Let me educate you, this world goes round, that means you will enjoy life at a time life will enjoy you. You eat life at some point, life eats you. And this is a typical example of that.”

“This was her body in her younger years when she used to dance ka botlolo ya savanna. Does anyone still have that video,” wrote another one.
