Like many, reality TV star Vuyokazi Nciweni recently took a sho’t left to Turkey, Istanbul to fetch her new body.

Vuyokazi embarked on her journey abroad three weeks ago for a gastric sleeve surgery which is also known as a sleeve gastrectomy. In medical terms, it is referred to as a bariatric surgery and it is normally done to remove a large portion of one’s stomach, and it leaves behind a narrow sleeve.

The Izingane Zes’thembu star shocked many when she revealed on her YouTube page that she underwent a cosmetic surgery because she wanted to reduce her body weight. In the clip she mentioned that her weight was starting to become a health hazard as her body started feeling heavy, she would have swollen feet, always felt tired and she felt pain in her back in some instances.

She shared that she started gaining a lot of weight after the birth of her firstborn child, she also mentioned that she tried other ways of losing weight, but all was in vain.

She said she believes that after she undergoes the surgery, she will watch what she consumes, and that she did the surgery mainly for her children because she wants to live longer for them; and that she wants to lead a healthy lifestyle together with her children.

Post-surgery, the doting mother of two shared clips of her still in pain and had drips that were connected to her stomach to drain dirty blood and blood clots. She mentioned that during the surgery, the doctors cut a percentage of one’s stomach which helps reduce calories and reduces hunger signals.

Vuyokazi also mentioned that post-surgery she had to be on liquids for 10 days and take some medication.
