Popular amapiano princess Thandeka Ngema, who is more affectionately known by her alias MaWhoo, has mzansi convinced that she would hold her own with a gospel album after a clip of her singing Smangaliso’s Ufanelwe ubukhosi yena went viral.

When it comes to capturing mzansi’s hearts, only a few have done it as well as Eshowe’s very own, as her ability to transform any song she hops on into a certified banger has made her one of the genre’s most popular and sought after vocalists.

Furthermore, MaWhoo has established and maintained a substantial following on her social media, which has granted fans an extra level of access to her, and allowed them to get a glimpse into her life and personality. This has caused her fame and popularity to skyrocket.

Recently, the Amazwe vocalist shared a clip of her singing a cover of gospel singer Smangaliso’s Ufanelwe ubukhosi yena, and the clip has users convinced that she should consider releasing a gospel song of her own in this lifetime. In the clip, she can be seen passionately belting out a song, giving the masses a heart-touching performance without intending to, resulting in users believing that she might have just chosen the wrong genre to focus on.

“A voice that could heal a lot of souls in gospel, but amapiano came,” one TikTok user comments.

Users have wasted no time taking to the comments to suggest an album from MaWhoo, as she looks and sounds right at home in the now viral clip. Her voice’s ability to adapt and fit into any genre has pleasantly stunned her supporters, with some encouraging her to explore more genres instead of boxing herself to strictly amapiano.

A gospel album would be great
