Fans moved by heartfelt post celebrating Zahara’s 1st heavenly birthday

by Sergio Miller

Social media users have recently expressed a touch of sadness following a post shared by actress and radio host Lusanda Mbane.

The prominent television personality recently visited the gravesite of the late singer Zahara.

In her post, she shared a heartwarming message writing: “Happy heavenly Birthday Masithathu wam. You are forever loved and missed.”

The talented soulful singer and guitarist died in December last year she was admitted to hospital days after celebrating her 36th birthday. At the time it was revealed that the singer suffered liver complications and that her health has since deteriorated.

Meanwhile, in her post, Lusanda can be seen sitting beside the late singer’s gravestone while the youthful image of Zahara accompanies her in the background.

Those entering the comment section have meanwhile also expressed how Zahara’s passing has affected them.

“I haven’t dealt with this death… I think I blocked it… it’s hard for me to even listen to her songs,” wrote one user.

Another added: “I thought of Zahara this morning […] we were looking forward to hearing more of her music, and in my mind, I said kodwa, her voice was truly special, even her music. May her soul continue to rest in peace.”

“Pain keeps on sinking in and in. Happy Heavenly birthday Bulelwa Zahara,” commented a third person.

Following her passing last year, the singer was described by family members as being a pure light with an even purer heart who touched millions of lives in this world.
