According to the entertainment publication TshisaLive, the two have been friends for more than a decade. The publication adds that Lindani, who is affectionately known as Batista, nicknamed for resembling the WWE wrestler, previously also worked as a tour manager at Zakes’ Mayonie Productions.

Meanwhile, Zakes recently spoke to TshisaLive all the way from the UK where he is currently on tour.

“We are grief-stricken. He was a pillar of the band. His death came as a shock to us. I am out of the country. I will be going home soon to be with the band and in touch with his family.”

With the news still fresh and raw, he later asked the public to allow Lindani’s family to take this opportunity to mourn in peace.

Meanwhile, it is still unclear what the cause of his death is, however, Zakes holds onto the memories and milestone achievements shared together.
