South African actress Sihle Ndaba opens up about her compelling role in the hit series “One Weeks,” giving fans a glimpse into the character’s personality and storyline.

In a recent interview with Zibuyile Dladla on Showmax, Sihle spoke about her character Lihle, offering fans an inside look at the complex persona she portrays on the show.

When asked what drew her to the character of Lihle, Sihle stated that when she first read the script for ‘One Weeks’ she was immediately drawn to the character of Lihle. She admired Lihle’s love and responsibility as a mother, as well as her feisty and vibrant personality.

Describing Fana and Lihle’s relationship Sihle explained that the relationship between Lihle and her partner Fana is built on a foundation of deep love and mutual choice. Despite their differences and the challenges they face, they continually choose each other.

Reflecting on whether she would date someone like Fana in real life, Sihle laughed and admitted she probably wouldn’t date Fana in reality. However, she emphasised the beauty of acting, which allows her to portray real-life situations and relationships. She believes many couples in society face challenges similar to those of Lihle and Fana, and hopes that their story resonates with the audience.

From Sihle’s perspective, Lihle’s biggest flaw is her relentless desire to impress her parents, often at the cost of her well-being.

“From my perspective, Lihle needs therapy. Without giving away too much, I say that because how far does one have to go to impress one’s parents? Lihle is someone who wants to make their parents proud but to what extent? Lihle compromises so much of herself to appease her parents. For me, that’s like borderline selling your soul,” she explained.
