The 29th May will be a day to remember as many South Africans will be queuing in long lines to vote at this year’s national elections in hope for to create a better South Africa.

This year’s elections sees many political parties including newly formed ones taking part in a bid to have a say in the country’s governance.

The elections will consist of three ballot papers which will be given to voters when they arrive at voting stations.

The South African government classifies these ballots as:

Ballot 1:
National Ballot to vote for a political party to represent you in the National Assembly.

Ballot 2:
Regional Ballot is a new ballot to vote for political parties or independent candidates contesting in that region (province) for elections to the National Assembly.

Ballot 3:
Provincial Ballot to vote for political parties or independent candidates contesting elections of the provincial legislature in that province.

A picture of this years ballot paper was shared by MDN News on their social media platform X, an app that was formerly known as Twitter receiving many comments from social media users.
