Amid speculation regarding the state of their marriage Thapelo Thoboke husband of the well-known gospel star Bucy Radebe, has denied rumors suggesting their relationship is on the rocks.

The couple found themselves in the spotlight after a recent report by City Press hinted at possible marital discord, citing Bucy’s WhatsApp status indicated that she was ‘officially a single lady.’

However, in an exclusive interview with TshisaLIVE, Thapelo dismissed the claims. He explained that Bucy’s WhatsApp is her own space, and she can post whatever she wants without explaining it to anyone. He also said he trusts her, and they talked about it together.

“There’s no marriage that is ending, that is her private and personal WhatsApp number. She posts what she likes, and she can’t explain herself to anyone on what she posts or does on her own personal phone,”

“Bucy owes no one any statement or explanation. We spoke about this as I didn’t see those statuses, only heard about them from a journalist, and me and her have an understanding because she posts so many things, and she is shocked why does she have to explain herself to the public about what she posts on her private WhatsApp status,” he told TshisaLIVE.

According to BuzzLifeNews, Bucy clarified that her WhatsApp posts were taken out of context by people she knows, who then made them into news. She explained that she and her husband intentionally keep their private life private.

Bucy expressed confidence in her marriage, stating that no gossip or media speculation can harm their relationship. She concluded by asserting their readiness to handle such attempts to disrupt their marriage.

“Some people saved on my phone decided to make news out of my harmless WhatsApp statuses.”

“We had less than 100 people at our traditional wedding three years ago, simply because we don’t involve the public in our private lives and marriage. I am sure this source was not even among those less than 100, but he/she knows a lot that we don’t know. We remain a solid couple, no gossiper or journalist will break us.  We are always ready for these kinds of attempts,” she said.
