Limpopo-born model Yolanda Monyai found herself disqualified on reality show Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) after making derogatory comments towards another housemate.

Yolanda was amongst 22 contestants throughout the country to compete for a cash prize of R2 million but got disqualified from the show. This situation comes after BBM contestant Lindokuhle Nsele, also known as Bravo B, got disqualified during the first week because of conversations he had with Makhekhe after stating which females he wanted to sleep with during their intoxication.

The former contestant’s fan base called the ‘Yolifires‘ started a crowdfunding of R1 million where they would be donating to her as some fans felt that she was disqualified unfairly.

Yolifires have donated about R8,258 as they are passionate about making the former contestant a millionaire.

Many Instagram users took to the comment section expressing their frustrations with the whole disqualification, adding that they would not watch the reality show anymore.

One user came to Yolanda’s defense explaining what happened the day of the incident. She added that Yolanda didn’t mention any names when she used the word “molest,” meaning that it was taken out of context.

Another user commented: “Did anyone else wake up hurt and in disbelief, like can my girl just show her face please, you are my heart.”

Another user said: “I stopped watching BBM from the time Yolanda exited. I am hurt. Back to Netflix, now I won’t watch anything even the finale. Hopefully Yolanda will be strong.”
