Mdumisani Nzimande who is prominently known as Dumi Mkokstad is a recognized award winning South African gospel artist.
Dumi is responsible for producing songs such as Ungayeki Uthandaza, Umukhulu Smakade, Yingakho Ngicula, Jesus is mine and many more.
According to Sunday World – a South African news site – the gospel artist managed to obtain a total of five nominations in this years Gospel Crown Awards. The categories that he was nominated for were Best Gospel Album, Best Gospel Male Artist, Best Gospel Songwriter, Best Gospel Live recording and Best Collaboration.
The Citizen – Johannesburg published South African newspaper – further mentioned that Dumi was “the most nominated artist this year”.
Those that attended the annual awards on the 26th of November may have already seen that Dumi took away an award for the category Best SongWriter for the song Vumbelimnandi.
In a world where many do not congratulate their fellow artists, Dumi Mkokstad took time to applaud his fellow gospel artists on their achievements of obtaining Crown Gospel Awards. Dumi took to Instagram to congratulate his fellow gospel artists that were crowned winners and nominees at the prestigious Crown Gospel Annual Awards.
He sent out a huge congratulations to Minister, YouTuber and singer Sindi Ntombela.
He captioned his post:
“uNkulunkulu wethu uLungile ??? Injabulo enginayo in my heart for this particular award is beyond beyond. I honour the Lord for this vessel “minister Sindi Ntombela” as I call her. Siyabonga to the Crown awards committee iyonke for this recognition. BEST FEMALE ?.”
Thanking his supporters on his win he said “Thank you for the Best Song Writer Won by yours truly ? for the song “VUMBELIMNANDI.”
He further continued and said, “A huge congratulations to everyone who received a nomination and those who went on to win their respective categories. Keep going guys, keep excelling and working hard to archive more.”
He concluded his post by mentioning a few more other winners and nominees that he is proud of.
