Ghosting is a term used to describe the practise of ending a relationship with someone without communication. This can leave the other party upset and depressed wondering what they might have done wrong. Ghosting does not only happen in relationships but in businesses too.

Here are four ways you can know that someone is ghosting you suggested by PsychologyToday, the world’s largest mental health and behavioral science online destination with experts:

  • When they do not respond to your messages.
  • Ignore your calls.
  • Avoid seeing you in person.
  • They do not return your calls.

When you see the red flags mentioned above it is always wise to try and communicate with the person with the means of trying to get clarification instead of jumping to conclusions.

According to HealthLine – a health publication with medical experts – here are some ways that can help you cope with being ghosted:

  • Accept the situation: As much as it is hard accepting that the person decided to end the communication in the most heartbreaking way you need to accept it.
  • Do not take it personal: Being ghosted is usually about the person who is ghosting so you do not need to blame yourself.
  • Move on: Do not dwell much on the situation, rather focus on your other relationship goals.

Ghosting is considered one of the most disrespectful ways to end communication. The above-mentioned source says that if you are experiencing this, remember that it is not a reflection of who you are and you should focus on yourself and moving forward.
