DJ Sbu gives hustlers hope for a better future

When we speak of celebrities who know what perseverance means, Sbusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope’s name is bound to come up. This is because when the media personality and MoFaya energy drink brand owner started his energy drink business he openly shared many obstacles that were meant to break him, persevering and getting a big break almost 10 years later.

Known for his passion and fighting spirit, DJ Sbu resorted to selling his MoFaya at traffic intersections when it could not reach shelves. The Remember When It Rained hitmaker has now partnered with grocery giant Checkers and the Miss South Africa beauty pageant brand.

Sharing a post of a rubbish bin full of trash with a visible yellow MoFaya empty can, Sbuda shared how he used to dream of seeing his cans in many bins around South Africa.

He captioned his post:

“Many people call it The Law Of Attraction. I attracted this moment 10 years ago. Taking a random walk in the rural Eastern Cape and I unexpectedly bump into an empty @mofaya_official can in the rubbish trashbin. I can’t put the feeling in words. We used to dream about this moment and have conversations with @siphiwelikhulenishongwe about it as a future normal occurrence all over everywhere anywhere in South Africa through brand penetration growth. Sending my love and positive thoughts to all Dreamers out there. Keep putting in the work 1 day at a time. 1 day is 1 day. GOD DID ??.”

Social media users shared how inspirational Sbu was also noting their disappointment seeing dirt pilling and overflowed to the ground:

“MoFaya, yes. But there’s something very wrong with this picture.”

“You’re exposing the municipality for lack of services in that region. Look how dirty the trashcan surrounding is. Well done sbuda, I remember I used to motivate young kings, pointing at you as an example of pure hustle. And every time I pointed at your tenacity, they chuckled, and I wondered if they truly got the point. But I am sure they do now, seeing Mofaya at Spar and written on trucks as they drive by ?.”

“Inspired by you groetman ??? keep up the good work!!”???

“Camagu ??? all our ancestors need is for us to dream and they help us fight…”
