by Staff Bona

South African author Zoleka Mandela has given fans an update on her current health situation and it seems she’s in a joyous mood.

She was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2022 and the news left many heartbroken.

Zoleka, who is the granddaughter of Nelson Mandela, has opened up about her cancer diagnoses and how she is keeping herself in good spirits despite her heartbreak about one day leaving her children without a mom, The South African said.

She recently gave her fans an update.

“Nothing shakes the smiling heart.” – Unknown. ? Good evening, beloved Queens … Thanking you all for the much needed prayers, I’m more grateful to you all than you will ever know. Thank you for incessantly supporting and encouraging me through quite an unexplainable time in my life. You are truly wonderful people, and I hope I can repay your warmth and kindness. You have my gratitude, as always! ?? Peace. Passion. Positivity,” she said.

News24 reported that Zoleka has been having conversations with loved ones, lawyers, friends and family about what will happen in the days leading to her death and in the aftermath.

“I’m learning to be okay with living despite an expected death, you know. I’m also just continuously evaluating various facets of my life, like my relationships, my priorities, my goals and things like that.”

“I think that’s empowering for me too because, again, I’ve been put in a place where I’m able to actually have a say in the things that I want to happen, especially with my children.”
