There are many ways that you can help your skin besides using chemicals, having a healthy skin can help boost your confidence and make you feel better about yourself.

According to Medical Aid Today having sensitive skin is common but not a medical issue. Amongst many things that can affect your skin are dye, fabric, body lotion and can lead to skin irritation and allergy reaction.

Many times things that can help your skin are home made remedies, and not the expensive products you keep on using on your skin.

Another tip that is given by Medical Aid Today, is using a journal and writing down all the products you’re using on a daily basis. This will help you track which products or home remedies your skin reacts to.

According to Everyday Health there are ways you can do home remedies to help your skin and are as follows:

Olive oil moisturizer

Jennifer Adell, a licensed aesthetician and the senior aesthetician at New Beauty and Wellness says olive oil contains vitamin E, antioxidants, squalene, and other properties that repair damaged skin. Adell also notes that this may not be a good choice for acne-prone skin, because of the risk of clogging your pores.

Creamy Avocado cream

Avocado is another natural way to help with dry skin, In addition, Adell says “This face mask is chock-full of antioxidants and probiotics that will promote healthy, glowing skin,” she says. She recommends combining ½ avocado with ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt, which may improve skin texture because of its lactic acid content.

Natural coconut oil and sugar scrub

This will help treat dead skin cells that might be giving your skin a dry texture and appearance, you may consider a gentle homemade sugar scrub.

1 cup of brown or granulated sugar with ½ cup of coconut oil. If you want, you can add an essential oil like lavender, which lends a natural fragrance and may promote relaxation and decrease anxiety.
