Displaying your succulents shouldn’t rely on shelves or countertops. Make this stylish hanging wooden planter to utilise the vertical space in your home.
- Board 12-16 cm wide and 3-4 cm thick

Method:
Step 1
Find suitable cups or pots and choose the size of the hole according to their diameter and board dimensions. They should be smaller at the base than at the top to allow the cups to rest inside the holes. Cut into equal parts, square or rectangular.
Step 2
Drill a hole for the pots in the centre and holes for string on the sides. You can make two holes or for better stability, one in each corner.
Step 3
Sand the boards, or paint them with a matte colourless varnish or white paint to let the plants stand out.
Step 4
Cut two strings slightly longer than you need. At the end, tie a knot and thread through the first wooden plate and tie another knot just above it. After about 20 centimetres, tie another knot that will determine the distance of the plates from each other. Thread the string through the plate and tie a knot just above it.
Step 5
Pour soil into the cups, place the plant with the root ball intact and cover the top with a layer of pebbles. Rest the pot inside the hole and hang it around the home at eye level. Water carefully to manage drainage.
