Unathi explains the situation
Taking to social media, Unathi strongly rejected the accusation and explained that what may have appeared suspicious was actually the result of the cold weather and the circumstances surrounding her appearance.
“It had to be a man to insinuate I’m on cocaine,” she wrote.
Unathi said she was sniffing because of the cold conditions while wearing an outfit that left her chest exposed.
“I’m sniffing from the cold Saturday we had with my entire chest open and whilst being pulled from the back by styling and sound,” she added.

‘I always work sober’
The broadcaster went on to firmly deny using drugs, making it clear that she does not work while under the influence.
“I don’t do Grandpa, ms*nu, and always work sober,” she said.
Her response appeared aimed at shutting down the speculation and challenging the person who made the accusation to consider the circumstances before making such claims.
Unathi did not hold back when addressing the man directly.
“Now STFU, at least until September, fool,” she concluded.
Her blunt response reflected her frustration at what she viewed as an unfounded accusation.
Social media reacts
The incident has sparked conversation online, with Unathi’s response drawing attention to how quickly assumptions about someone’s behaviour can spread on social media.
Rather than allowing the accusation to go unanswered, the broadcaster offered her own explanation for the moment and firmly rejected any suggestion that she was using cocaine.
