Popular South African-born actress, philanthropist and former BONA cover star Nomzamo Mbatha takes up space through her Lighthouse Foundation, presenting the ‘EmpoweringHer’ Summit 2024. Powered by the African Bank and Hollywood Foundation, the summit will take place in September and promises to be a space where women are empowered and celebrated this Women’s Month and beyond.

“The future growth of the South African economy largely rests on the shoulders of entrepreneurs. Through our #EmpoweringHER programme, we aim to assist women-owned SMMEs to grow and become financially and operationally independent. By creating and/or developing sustainability for these small businesses, we also create a strong structure for access into the economy and thereby, ultimately, assisting to reduce the high unemployment rate in the country,” explains the Hollywood Foundation.

Sharing on her Instagram, the actress expressed that she and her foundation will be stepping into women’s month with a bang.

“Stepping into the women’s month with a bang! The Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation proudly presents EmpoweringHer Summit 2024 powered by the African Bank & Hollywood Foundation. This exciting event will celebrate, educate, and empower women, featuring an inspiring seminar and a business awards ceremony. Anticipate a day filled with transformative moments and exceptional connections,” she captions.
