Speaking during an interview with Linda Sibiya on Gagasi FM, the musician reflected on his health journey, his renewed faith and how difficult times revealed who truly stood by him.

Recovering from a life-changing stroke

L’vovo suffered a minor stroke on 23 December 2022 while performing at a show in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu-Natal. The medical emergency left the left side of his body weakened and affected his speech, forcing him to step away from performing while focusing on rehabilitation.

During his interview on the radio station, the award-winning artist said he has made significant progress since then. While he has regained much of his mobility, he admitted that the fingers on his left hand remain stubborn and are still part of his recovery journey.

Despite the challenges, L’vovo said he is grateful for how far he has come and continues to work on improving his health.

The entertainment industry’s reality

The musician also reflected on how his health scare changed his perspective on the entertainment industry.

According to L’vovo, many people in the industry celebrate your success when things are going well, but support can quickly disappear during difficult times.

He explained that experiencing a serious health setback showed him who genuinely cared about his wellbeing and who was only around during the good times.

His comments offered an honest look at the pressures of the entertainment industry and the loneliness many artists experience when they are no longer in the spotlight.
