Voters can watch the launch’s livestream on the official IEC YouTube and Facebook accounts. The national ROC serves as the primary management base for auditing, collating, verifying, and announcing election results. Opposing political parties can also receive live updates on their performances.
The main purpose behind the centre is to ensure transparency and honesty during the election process, respecting the trust placed upon the IEC by both the voters and the political parties.

The controversy behind the 2024 ROC
EyeWitness News reports that the Gallagher Convention Centre is a controversial choice, following the dashboard’s technical glitch during the 2024 National Government elections. The leaderboard at the national results operations centre went blank for about two hours.
This infuriated many political parties in the running, including the MK Party, which believed the glitch allowed for the possibility of rigging.
IEC dismisses MK Party challenge
The IEC recently dismissed the challenge brought forth by the MK Party over the technical glitch during the 2024 elections. The party alleged that the electoral commission deliberately interfered with the live and functioning digital vote-capturing and reporting system, accusing it of acting unlawfully.
The IEC shared evidence that data was still being captured during the incident where the screen went blank for hours, further showing that no data was lost during the incident. The court accepted this, thus dismissing the challenge from the MK Party.
