Kaya 959 has announced an exciting refresh of its programming line-up, introducing new voices, refreshed shows, and enhanced content aimed at deepening listener engagement while staying true to its mission of celebrating African excellence, culture, and conversation.
The station’s latest schedule reflects a strategic evolution designed to meet the changing needs of its audience, blending trusted personalities with fresh talent to deliver compelling content across news, current affairs, lifestyle, business, music, and entertainment.

According to Kaya 959, the revamped line-up seeks to strengthen its position as one of South Africa’s leading commercial radio stations by offering programming that resonates with modern listeners while maintaining the station’s distinctive identity and community-focused approach.
Kaya 959’s new line-up
Programme Manager Maekanya Morotoba said, “The announcement of DJ Fresh was a major moment for Kaya 959, but it was also the start of a bigger story. We are now showing listeners the full picture. This is a schedule with pace, personality, and purpose.
“We are excited to welcome Sweetness Motsepe from You FM and Dee Nkomo from Capricorn FM, and to welcome Nonn Botha back to the Kaya 959 family. Their addition strengthens the station’s connection with listeners and adds even more character to our weekend sound.”
The weekday line-up starts before sunrise and will be hosted by Xola Dlwati from 05:00 to 06:00, before Kaya Breakfast with DJ Fresh and Thato Mataboge takes over from 06:00 to 09:00.
Then from 09:00 to 12:00, TBose will continue with The Best T in the City, followed by Andy Maqondwana on Feel Good from 12:00 to 15:00.

The afternoon drive is set to remain with Glen, Skhumba and Kgomotso from 15:00 to 18:00.
Then, Monday to Thursday, Gugulethu Mfuphi continues the business conversation on Kaya Biz from 18:00 to 20:00, followed by Phemelo Motene on Point of View from 20:00 to 22:00. Multitalented Mablerw will then take over The Upper Room from 22:00 to midnight.
Bonolo Beesting continue with hosting The Hive from 18:00 to 21:00,
The weekend schedules will continue to give Kaya 959 a rich mix of music, mood, and personality.
