DJ Maphorisa and Daliwonga set to light up Cape Town

Cape Town is gearing up for one of its most anticipated amapiano nights of 2026 as DJ Maphorisa and Daliwonga join forces for a live performance on Sunday, 9 August 2026. 

The event, part of the Rolling Live series, will take place at Alley Cape Town, bringing together two of the most influential names in South Africa’s global amapiano movement.

Amapiano heavyweights return to the Mother City

DJ Maphorisa, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern amapiano and Afro-fusion sounds, has played a major role in shaping the genre’s global reach. His production work and live DJ sets have made him a dominant force on dance floors across Africa and beyond. 

Joining him is Daliwonga, known for his smooth vocals and chart-topping collaborations that have helped define the emotional, melodic side of amapiano. Together, the duo has delivered some of the genre’s biggest hits, making their joint performances highly sought after.

Event details

The Cape Town show is scheduled for Sunday, 9 August 2026, with doors opening in the late afternoon and festivities continuing into the early hours of the following day.

The lineup promises a full amapiano experience, blending deep log drum rhythms, sing-along vocals, and high-energy DJ sets designed for an all-night dancefloor atmosphere. 

Cape Town continues to establish itself as a key destination for some of the major music events, with high-profile performances. 

With DJ Maphorisa and Daliwonga sharing the stage, the event is shaping up to be one of the standout nightlife experiences of the month.
