What summer trends are you going for this year?

When it comes to beauty, I believe everyone should change their skincare range and routine to suit the season as they change. This will help accommodate all the changes your skin will experience e.g. our skins suffers from dryness in winter but we have an over actively oily skin in summer and spring.

For make-up I think the shimmer shades of eyeshadow are a great must have for all ladies because these make bold statements alongside bright lipsticks.

Let’s talk hair…

My hair is in its natural state now and I see a lot of people are cutting their hair. I like to keep my hair in braids or a weave because that’s my protective styling which lets it grow and avoid strenuous styling.

What is your favourite nail trend?

I did a lot of square shaped nails and then tried stiletto for a while which didn’t work for me. I think it’s an edgy trend but I would rather stick to my square or natural length. My favourite nail colour is black and I have seen a lot of people rocking the matte black nails and I think it’s beautiful. I also love playing with light shades like nudes and lilac, and shy away from red because I think it’s got attitude.

Matte beauty is taking over the beauty shelves, what’s your favourite matte lip colour?

I know it’s going to sound cliché but the red lip is a winner, I have tried it and love it. I also love the deep plum shades and purple which are different, and sadly they are always sold out in stores because everyone is going for these shades these days.

Which international stars do you think sets hair trends?

Rihanna is always winning for me, even though not all her hairstyles would work for everyone and she has a gorgeous face that suits everything. I like Beyoncé for the colour of her hair and not a lot of hairstylists can achieve the colour correctly especially with a weave.
