We talk to Dineo Moeketsi, leading lady of our May Beauty Magic cover shoot.
Stress, nerves, fun, food, energy, laughter, love, more laughter and warmth – in that order – was the mood of the day when we shot our May issue with Beauty Magic’s brand ambassador Dineo Moeketsi and the three deserving winners of our Beauty Magic cover star competition.
Dineo on the cover shoot…
Funny enough, I didn’t eat anything to prepare for the shoot. Lunch was my first meal. What kept me going till lunch though was that my tummy had to look flat the whole time while shooting! (laughs)
The most exciting part of the shoot… was working with photographer, Jurie Potgieter, he shot my first cover back in the day. I also loved meeting the winners, the people who buy the brand (Beauty Magic) and hear what their experience with the product is.
I absolutely loved the outfits; the dresses were out of this world. Kudos to the stylist Jerri Mokgofe, he did an amazing job. Without me having to tell him, he got all the clothes that go with my style. I’m almost 25 and I wanted something a bit more mature. I am leaving that young girl behind and Jerri brought this out.
Readers can expect a shoot and feature like they have never seen before when the magazine comes out. There’s a more grown aspect that I am portraying. They can also expect a light, fun element to it thanks to the Beauty Magic winners who really brought it. They were amazing and their energy was out of this world.
Dineo on beauty…
My beauty regime and routine is… eating clean and drinking lots of water, because our skin reflects what’s going on inside our bodies. I also do the normal cleanse, tone and moisturize using Beauty Magic products and make sure I exfoliate twice a week.
Favourite Beauty Magic product… My favourite Beauty Magic product is the Cleansing Tonic. It’s one thing to cleanse your skin but the Beauty Magic cleansing tonic makes the skin feel purified and fresh. Working in the line of business that I do, it’s the answer to keeping my skin in its true form no matter how many times I put on make-up.
When it comes to hair, I’m not one to chop and change the glam squad because when you stick to a specific person they know exactly what to do all the time. I don’t shy away from treatments because that is what helps most of the time.
