The South African Police Service (SAPS) said the case was being investigated by Tumahole police following reports of alleged sexual assault incidents involving the educator.
According to SAPS, the first incident allegedly occurred in June 2026, when the educator reportedly threatened the learner with a knife and raped her in an office at the school.

The police statement further alleges that on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, during Heritage Day celebrations at the school, a colleague of the suspect instructed the learner to take a chair to his office.
“Upon arrival, the report states that the suspect allegedly locked the victim in his office and raped her,” SAPS said.
The incident was reported to Tumahole police, where the learner was interviewed in a Victim-Friendly Room before being taken to hospital for a medical examination.
“The investigation continues. No arrest has been made yet,” the police said.
The allegations have not been tested in court, and the educator has not been convicted of any offence.
