South African rapper Nasty C called out the South African government in a passionate Instagram post, asking those in power to intervene amid the ongoing gender-based violence.

With the discovery of nine women’s bodies in the Ekurhuleni area, the rapper is one of many celebrities speaking up against the gruesome deaths of women in the country.
“The cycle continues”
In a long Instagram caption, Black and White hitmaker pointed out the perpetual loop of hashtags and outrage, noting that until something breaks, this is the loop many South Africans will find themselves in.
“And that someone is in the office where they make decisions on how this country is run,” he explains, seemingly alluding to the fact that it is up to the government to break this cycle of violence and pain.
He said that if they really cared, there would be visible change in the way things are handled and that the country would be a much safer place for everyone.

Many women in the comment section thanked Nasty C for using his platform to be in support of the women and children in the country living in fear.
More than anything, his comment section was filled with purple hearts to represent their solidarity for the women who have been victims of violence.
