Gold Reef City is opening its theme park after dark, hosting night markets, theme nights, Halloween nights, and the like, allowing visitors to experience the park beyond the rides and food.

Tsogo Sun announced yesterday, 10 September, that the theme park will be open to visitors at night. The gates will open from 19:00, and the park will close at 23:00. For only two nights, park lovers can experience selected rides, a night market, delicious food and treats, live musical performances, shopping for unique finds, and more.
Ticket prices are R100 per person from 2 to 3 October 2026 and can be booked on the Tsogo Sun website.

Night market announcement
The announcement was made on the Gold Reef City Instagram page with a quirky caption: “Your night out just got a little more interesting.”
The comments on the post showed excitement, with many asking for an extra weekend or a second phase of the night market.
