Zee and lordkez ready for Joburg
For Zee, the performance comes at an exciting time in her career as she continues to make her mark on major stages across the country.
The rising star has previously opened up about the surreal experience of watching audiences sing along to her music.
While the scale of the response can still be overwhelming, Zee says, “Moments like these motivate her to keep creating music and visuals that resonate with listeners.
“It’s scary. Sometimes you don’t believe it,” she said, reflecting on seeing crowds singing her songs back to her.
Joining her on the lineup is lordkez, whose alternative R&B sound and genre-blending approach have established her as one of the country’s exciting contemporary artists.
For lordkez, live performance is about more than simply getting on stage. Her perspective was shaped during a tour with Mi Casa, where she watched the group command the audience night after night.
“I went on tour with Micasa, and I watched them put on an insane show every night,” she recalled. “That tour changed the way that I viewed music.”
The experience influenced her approach to live shows, with lordkez now known for performances that combine emotion, vulnerability, and a strong visual and musical identity.

Other performers to witness
But Zee and lordkez are only part of an impressive lineup. The festival will also feature Cassper Nyovest, Kabza De Small, DJ Zinhle, Sun-El Musician, Mi Casa, MÖRDA, Locnville, Will Linley and the Soweto Gospel Choir, among others.
For Zee Nxumalo, it will be another opportunity to turn audience energy into a memorable live performance. For lordkez, it will be a chance to showcase the immersive performance style that continues to set her apart.
Come Saturday, both artists will be looking to bring their A-game and give Joburg a festival moment to remember.
