From actress to entrepreneur
While Amanda du-Pont remains a familiar face in South African entertainment, the actress and media personality has spent the past few years deliberately stepping back from the spotlight.
Her last major acting role was in the 2022 horror film The Domestic. Since then, she has continued working in entertainment, including commercial voice-over projects and brand campaigns, while also concentrating on her skincare company, Lelive.
According to TimesLive, that quieter period has allowed the star to give her business more attention. For du-Pont, stepping away from acting was less about leaving entertainment behind and more about making space for other priorities.
Why privacy became important
Du-Pont also told TimesLive that focusing on business has given her a level of privacy she has come to appreciate. She believes that concentrating on one goal at a time has helped her build Lelive while avoiding the pressure of trying to do everything simultaneously.

Now, the actress is preparing to reconnect with audiences on screen. She is set to appear on Tropika Island of Treasure, while she has also revealed that a Netflix feature film involving her is expected to air soon.
With her business now more established, the star says she is excited to return to the creative work she loves.
Her journey offers a timely reminder that stepping away from the spotlight does not necessarily mean stepping away from ambition. Sometimes, a quieter chapter can provide the focus needed for the next big move.
