Formula 1 racing superstar Lewis Hamilton finished P2 (Position 2) at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix for Scuderia Ferrari. This marked another strong result in his first full season with the sports team. Hamilton finished behind Kimi Antonelli, who took victory for Mercedes.

With this P2 win, Hamilton equalled F1 legend Ayrton Senna’s podium record at the Monaco Grand Prix. The win is another encouraging sign that Hamilton and Ferrari are becoming increasingly competitive, and that first Ferrari victory might not be out of reach yet.

The P2 podium finish has moved Lewis up to second in the drivers’ standings after Monaco, and he described the race conditions as among the toughest he has faced. Although this was a hard-fought podium finish in the Monaco Grand Prix, it proves that Ferrari still has plenty of work to do to match Mercedes.

After the race, congratulating Antonelli, Lewis said, “I have to start by congratulating Kimi and the Mercedes team, my old family, they’ve done it again, they’ve created an amazing car and Kimi’s doing an incredible job, just delivering weekend in, weekend out. It’s great to see, and I’m really happy for them.”

High praise for Kimi from Sir Lewis! 😮‍💨🥹#F1 #MonacoGP pic.twitter.com/hdE7FheaQT
