The series boasts a stellar cast that includes Gail Mabalane, Matli Mohapeloa, Thapelo Mokoena, Keke Mphuthi, Mondli Makhoba, Michelle Mosalakae, Fulu Modibedi, Clementine Mosimane, Jesse Suntele, Eve Rasimeni, Sipho Ndlovu, Mandla Gaduka, Thabo Malema, Charmaine Mtinta and Lillian Dube, among others.
As reported by Daily Sun, Clementine, who plays the character of Mme Mathapelo said people will relate to the show.
“Since Pimville is part of Soweto, next to Klipspruit, one of the oldest kasi, we had to make sure we are authentic, telling real stories that people will relate with. People will relive these experiences, and for some, it will open up some things from the past,” she said.
Speaking to The Citizen, Gail Mabalane, who portrays the character of Phello Mohapi said: “It’s big shoes to fill, but it’s certainly a great opportunity to follow on the footsteps of a great giant that paved the way for us. We can run today because Muvhango walked, and we are grateful, obviously, to build on that legacy,” she said.
