Sisterhood, friendship and lifetime partnership

Life is easier when you enjoy it with your girlfriends. The highs and lows… all bearable when your squad picks up where you can’t, and even better when you lay it all down on the Brutal Fruit Spritzer’s Pink Table.

The Pink Table is a global movement celebrating the power of women coming together to celebrate life and share connections. It’s BFFs lifting each other and celebrating the beauty of being together.

The movement has been on a global tour, spreading positivity and women’s empowerment in Paris, France, in 2025; Milan, Italy, earlier this year; and bringing it back home to South Africa in Durban, closing off on 28 November in Johannesburg.

Brand ambassadors and beauty and fashion influencers Leah De Gois and Petunia Katane share the same sentiment on what friendship means to them: having people who show up and support each other in everything.

In line with the brand’s messaging about encouraging connection, Leah adds, “I think as you get older, you realise how important it is to surround yourself with women who inspire you, support you and celebrate your wins as if they were their own.”

Asked what resonates with their brands from the campaign, Leah shares that she loves that the Pink Table brings an element of fun and femininity to celebrating what women stand for.

“The brand encourages women to celebrate themselves and each other. There’s something special about creating beautiful experiences and making space for genuine connections. Sometimes we forget that celebrating sisterhood can be as simple as dressing up, spending time with your girls and enjoying each other’s company,” she says.

Building connection

Both Leah and Petunia are in the forefront of female-dominated spaces, which can sometimes be daunting, as women are often made to compete against each other. For them, being part of the Brutal Fruit family meant being put in areas where meeting new people isn’t about competing but about creating relationships that will last past a beauty event.

Petunia says, “I’ve learnt that genuine connections go beyond networking.”

“I’ve learnt the importance of being open to meeting new people without any preconceived ideas,” Leah adds. “The beauty and fashion industry can sometimes feel quite intimidating, especially when you’re surrounded by so many talented and successful women.”

End of the campaign, not the work

As the campaign concludes its run with Joburg being the final stop, the ladies vow to continue the work of showing up intentionally for the women around them. “The work is to celebrate wins, share opportunities, and create spaces where we can uplift each other,” says Petunia.

For Leah, investing in nurturing connections is what she’ll be focusing on. “It’s easy to meet people at events, exchange numbers and then get caught up with life. I want to make an effort to nurture those relationships. Whether it’s checking in, making plans to catch up or simply supporting another woman’s work, the little things go a long way,” she says.

Candice van den Bosch, brand director of Beyond Beer – Brutal Fruit Spritzer, Flying Fish, Redds and Black Crown, emphasises that the Pink Table is for building relationships beyond events. With the help of the At Home kits (glassware, coasters, a tablecloth and conversation cards available through giveaways from the brand’s social media), conversations go over and above a meet-and-greet.

“The Pink Table celebrates the friendships we build and the women we choose to share our lives with. We want that connection to continue beyond our events. With the Pink Table At Home kits, your own table becomes a place to bring besties and loved ones together, share stories and make an ordinary catch-up feel special,” she says.

Responsibility is central to how Brutal Fruit shows up in consumers’ lives.

Through SAB Sharp, SAB’s responsible-consumption platform, the business promotes a comprehensive approach built around three connected pillars: Educate, Enforce and Innovate. This means empowering consumers with information to make informed choices, supporting compliance with alcohol laws, and providing options that meet different occasions and preferences.

Brutal Fruit supports this commitment by encouraging responsible enjoyment and ensuring that every celebration is both memorable and mindful.
