Siv Ngesi weighs in on Afrikaner refugees’ new reality in the US

by Sergio Miller

The recent departure of white Afrikaners to go and settle in the United States has created a buzz on social media platforms, so much so that some celebrities have now taken to social media platforms to share their thoughts on the matter as well.

Among those is actor and renowned comedian Siv Ngesi. The media personality who gained prominence for his humorous nature has been keeping South Africans laughing for several years, but that is one aspect of who he is.

He is also known for delving into thought-provoking conversations that others might try and shy away from. In recent years, he has not only been an advocate in supporting the cause for women’s sanitary hygiene but has also visited one of South Africa’s most racially isolated towns, Orania, where he had an up-close and personal view of what the community there stands for.

Following the recent immigration of white Afrikaners to settle in America due to the alleged continued injustices of “racial discrimination” and “confiscation of land without compensation” here in South Africa, Siv has since shared his opinion on the matter.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the charismatic personality that is Siv commented on the irony of these citizens going abroad to seek a better life, when he believes that life in America is not that perfect either.

“Those ‘refugees’ will learn that America is only ‘perfect’ in the movies!” he wrote.

Siv’s comments have since caused a massive conversation on the social media platform, with some agreeing with his sentiments, referencing the mass killings (crime) experienced at US schools, while others believe that he is making these statements out of pure jealousy.

After giving it some thought, i firmly believe that it’s just simple jealousy.
