Limpopo-born musician Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, commonly known as Shebeshxt recently announced his return to music, the news comes after recovering from a life-threatening accident that took his daughter’s life.

Posting on his Facebook page, the controversial artist expressed gratitude to his followers and supporters for showing him love throughout his recovery. “Thanks for your Support & Prayers. I’m BACK,” he captions.

Shebeshxt has wasted no time since his return and has announced the release of two new songs. The first song, Gibela Imoto features rising star LeeMcKrazy, Naqua SA and HarryCane, while the second song, titled Motliseng Patleng includes Zoli White Smoke, Mokgethwa, SMeezyOn The Beat, Naqua Pro as well as Mr Diego.

The artist is also set to headline King Monada’s Monadeni Fest, which will take place at the Kgapane stadium in Limpopo this August. This news comes as a surprise as the two Limpopo natives have previously been at odds, with the artists going as far as threatening to harm each other publicly.

It seems safe to assume that the artists have buried the hatchet, as King Monada took to his Instagram to announce the lineup for his upcoming festival, with Shebeshxt being one of the artists named. He will be sharing the stage with some of South Africa’s biggest names, such as Master KG, Big Zulu and MaWhoo.

Fans and supporters have had mixed reactions to the news, with some fans excited to finally see two of Limpopo’s stars make peace and share a stage. Others are concerned that the artist might be rushing his return and might need more time to recover fully. “After losing his daughter, I think Shebbe isn’t prepared for attending gigs,” says one Instagram user.
