To all our loving sister-in-laws that were introduced to our homes by our brothers, uncles and cousins, makoti season is upon us this December.

To all makotis, brace yourselves as this is the season that requires you to wear your superwoman cape and gear as this is the season that brings all families and clans together for big celebrations. The festivities bring us together to celebrate love and the beauty of our cultures, where there will be a lot of ululating and celebrations.

Touching on this season Yolenda Jawe, one of Africa’s prominent YouTubers who is affectionately known as Yolz took to Instagram to share that as a makoti she will be partaking in the countless holiday celebrations that are accompanied by variety of foods and a formation of family laughs and memories.

The digital content creator dazzled the streets of digital content creation in 2015 and since then the viewers have fallen in love with her poise and personality. Her YouTube content that covers lifestyle and motivational videos accommodates almost everyone as everyone can learn a thing or two from the entrepreneur.

Not so long ago, the boy mom ventured into launching a skincare business that came as no surprise to her supporters as the YouTube star has always been an advocate for natural products and wellness. Her beauty brand promises luminous and healthy skin as they entail natural ingredients.

The wife and mom took to Instagram to share that the ‘Makoti Diaries’ have finally began as she heads to her in-laws in the Eastern Cape.

In the video she is heard telling her 5 year old son, Fezile, to strictly refer to her as mama, advising that he should let go of all the cool terms that they use to refer to one another such as “bruv” and “mamzo.”

Fezile seemed to not agree with this concept, as he was not having any of what his mom was saying. She concluded the chat by stating “ndatshata mna!”
