The Balas put their musical abilities on display

by Sergio Miller

They are the gifts that keep on giving, a musical family that could easily be likened to America’s Jacksons.

For years South Africans have been entertained by talented brothers Loyiso, Zwai and Phelo Bala and while they are much older now a new generation of talent is starting to emerge within their musical family.

A recent video posted by Zwai on his Instagram page shows him coaching his daughter to British singer Sam Smith’s song,  I’m not the only one.

In the video the proud father assumes his role behind the keyboard while giving his princess some valuable advice on how to get the most out of her voice.

But it was not until she used the advice given that Mzansi were left stunned.

It is safe to say that the apple does not fall far from the tree. In the most purest form she goes onto the highest pitch and gave her dads followers a sneak peak into just how talented she is.

There is now no doubt that the Bala legacy is in good hands.

Zwai captioned the video: “My kind of homework. #daughterlove #BalaEmpire.”

Meanwhile those entering the comment section were beyond impressed.

“My gosh the Bala generational talent is just out of this world ?,” one user wrote.

A second person added: “The best thing ive seen today.”

Meanwhile another user added: “It’s the care in that voice! That gentle placement comfy belting and ease in the runs. Magical.”
