Yamal’s value soars as he joins football’s elite

Lamine Yamal’s rise has been nothing short of extraordinary. At just 17 years old, the Barcelona forward is no longer just a prospect but already among football’s elite, writes DYLAN JOHNSON. 

Writing for Soccermag, Johnson explains that with 38 goal contributions in 2024-25, including eight in the UEFA Champions League, Yamal’s performances have made him one of the most valuable players in the game.

His record-breaking displays at Euro 2024 further cemented his place at the top, and Yamal becoming their youngest-ever scorer in a major tournament. His market value has skyrocketed from €90 million to €180 million, placing him at the forefront of a new generation of talent.
