Human relationships can be very complicated. Because we all view things differently, live by different codes and sometimes let our emotions get the most of us, conflict is guaranteed. When it comes to your female friends being close to your man, there is a lot of room for misunderstanding. Here are some rules to keep in mind:
Remember who your friend is. You might like your friend’s man, and support the same soccer team, but don’t forget where your loyalty lies and who your friend is. The person who brought you together is your friend, and that’s where you need to concentrate on as your loyalty lies with her.

Stay out of his DMs. There’s only one good reason why you would be WhatsApping, inboxing or DMing your friend’s man, and that reason would be that you are planning a huge surprise party for your friend. If that’s not the case, then whatever you need to say to him should be said in public spaces – you don’t need privacy with him.
Don’t bad – mouth your friend to her man. You might think that you get along with your friend’s man so well that you can complain to him about the things your friend does that you don’t like. Stop right there! This is her man, so speaking badly about her will do nothing but make you appear like you’re trying to start some drama.
Stay in your lane. Sometimes we love our friends so much that we want to protect them. While that’s understandable, if she tells you about a fight or issue that she is having with her man, it’s not your cue to confront him. You might see it as standing up for your friend, but it’s actually called meddling.

Have the hard talk. We’ve heard of people falling in love with their friend’s boyfriend and running off into the sunset. We don’t wish that on anyone, but it happens. If you have the hots for your friend’s man and vice versa, tell the truth and do it quickly. Running around behind her back will only cause hurt and damage. Love can come from unexpected places, speak your mind and know that you will likely lose a friend over it.
